The Scottish Club of Tulsa is hosting its 69th formal recognition of Scotland’s Bard, Robert Burns, on July 11, 2026. This Year’s observance will be the 225th anniversary of the very first Commemorative Supper. While the rest of the world is celebrating Robert Burns’ birthday in January, the Premiere Scottish Club of Tulsa observes the original supper observation of his death with the ceremonial poems and toasts.
This year’s Commemorative Supper will follow in the Tradition of the Nine, and the Ceremony of Seven Toasts will be given. “Fire the Cannons!” The toasts will be directed by Silver Thistle Award recipient David Wilcox. There will be a social hour prior to Announcements and Introductions with plenty of Wait Staff on hand. Following the Commemorative Supper, Club Awards will be presented, as the Council recognizes those Members who help make a difference for the S.C.O.T. President Emeritus Rick Ewing will be officiating the Silver Thistle Awards Ceremony.
